    Dear Godpreneur,

It's such a privilege to be writing to you for the very first time about a topic that's so close to my heart – grief.

Before I get to that, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I've been a pastor's wife for over 40 years and have loved serving at each of the churches where Michael and I have been called. I also work as a pediatric registered nurse, so I'm truly blessed to be able to work with people of all ages.

And in each of the places I've served, I've seen grief firsthand and walked with many people through seasons of loneliness.

These times of sorrow and loss are defining moments in our lives. Either you progress with faith and the resulting hope that faith gives, or you live in fear and defeat.

That is why I've written this article to share with you some of my insights and experiences with grief.

I pray these words encourage you as you see how God works through times of loneliness and grief to bring you even closer to him.

    Serving with you,

    Joanie Risley
