Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak for your work shall be rewarded.

     2 Chronicles 15:7

It is clearly stated that when the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable; that is, to every situation you pass through in life there is a reason why God allowed it; this reason is termed “purpose”, for God allowed Joseph to pass through betrayer, the pit and even the prison for him to be crowned in a palace.

The preceding scripture – 2 Chronicles 15:7, acknowledges the fact that a time will come when your hands may seem to be weak; just like that of Moses on the top of the hill with both hands lifted up, for the victory of the Israelites against the Amalek.

“And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed and when he let down his hands, Amalek prevailed.

But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, one on the side, and the other on the other side, and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”

    Exodus 17:11-12

Same might be your story, the situations of your life may be gradually tearing you apart and this is making you weak in your Christian faith, for you are gradually accepting failure; and refusing to rise.

Colonel Sander is the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Yet, before the age of 62, he was told 1009 (one thousand and nine) by folks that he was crazy and a failure yet he did not give up.

Sander at the age of 5, lost his father; and at 16, he was already a drop out from school, at 17, he has lost four jobs – due to lack of experience. At 18, he became a rail road conductor. At 19, he was a father. At 20, his wife left him and took their daughter.

At the age of 50, Sander was tagged a failure by his community and almost committed suicide. At 65, he discovered his passion and purpose of existence, he borrowed $87 (eighty-seven dollars) bought and fried up some chicken using his recipe; Sander went door to door selling the chicken to his neighbours in Kentucky.

And at 74, Colonel Sander was already a millionaire and at 84, Sander became a billionaire.

The story of Sander goes also to you, and to your present situation, illustrating to you that after every tunnel, there is a light. It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how many times you have failed; what matters most is your ability of not giving up, for when the pain is deep, you ought to go deeper in prayer.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your Labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

    I Corinthians 15:58

Great men of the universe are people who recognized where they failed, worked on it and moved on, with their vision and dreams unshakable. There is no place in life where true success and greatness comes great or on a platter of gold.

God has given us all, the same 24 hours for everyday. Yet, He alone has the power to make a poor man suddenly rich – Ecclesiasticus 11:21(GNT) and God alone knows the end from the very beginning; He sees and knows all your problems.

Temptations and trials are not from God, it is part of life struggle. It comes from the devil; and  only a steadfast Christian can triumph over difficulties and challenges of life.

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth any man.”

    James 1:12-13

Everyone cherish success yet only those few that endures trials and difficulties on the path of life gets the crown of life. While writing this book, I tried to interview several people to get their view on what “failure” actually means to them.

The first person answered, “I think failure is an act, the act of not achieving what one is supposed to achieve or what one tends to achieve.”

The second person answered, “Failure is not succeeding at something”.

Just like success has different definition same is failure, the definition of failure ranges from “a feeling” of not being welcome to the act of “not seeing” yourself accomplished, but I will like to define failure as the “you” that has not yet arrived at your set destination.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

    Jeremiah 29:11

It is only when you have accepted “failure” and refused to rise that you become “a failure”. This book will actually pull you up from your slumber by reviving your hope and faith in your vision, for just as the walls of Jericho were shattered by God. This book will enable you to breakthrough your walls of limitation. It will energize you, with “courage”, and your fears and worries will be brought to naught.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

    Jeremiah 33:3.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail, and thou shall be above only and not beneath; if thou harkens unto the commandment of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day to observe and to do them.

    Deuteronomy 28:13

As you read this book, study it diligently and God through this book will speak to your heart “... it is said, today. If ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts…”  (Hebrews 3:15), and God will ignite in your heart the fire of success, love and compassion.

    Let’s pray:

Almighty father, thank you for my friend’s life. You have placed in my heart the burden to share with them, and to teach them how to rise up after a fall, as you have taught me.

Father, you alone know the part in them, where they are presently passing through challenges. The students, business personnel, sedentary workers, office workers, employee, employers and others, please change their story, as you did to the children of Israelite, when you parted the red sea for them to walk through dry land; so that like Job, they will begin to see more reason(s) to serve you diligently with smile on their faces.

And for those who are presently trying to rise from their present predicament, LORD, as you did to Joseph, when you raised him up from nothing to greatness; hasten up their blessing, so that their effort too will be crowned with crown of success; In Jesus Name. Amen.

    God’s Original Plan

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.

    3 John 1:2

Even though a mother will forget the child she bore, God will never forget you (Isaiah 49:15); God has a divine plan for everyone created; plans of good and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11)

God had plans for Adam, so He placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, just so as to ensure that Adam actualises the God given plan on his life. In the same way, God has placed in you the seed of success; and He knows everything about you “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands…” (Isaiah 49:16).

“Before I formed you in the belly I know thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.

      Jeremiah 1:5

God is not a failure, so he will not allow his product to become a failure “And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our likeness…”  (Genesis 1:26)

Your life is a project before God and God’s project never ends incomplete, “He (God) never sleeps nor does He slumber” (Psalms 121:4)

“For I know the plans (thoughts) that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thought of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end.”

      Jeremiah 29:11

Genesis chapter 37-45, God had a great plan for Joseph, this He showed him in a vision; Joseph had the vision of him becoming greater than his brethren. He saw himself occupying his God given plans. A plan his brethren could not comprehend for to them it seems impossible, hence they decided to set for Joseph, a wrong vision. They plotted amongst themselves to terminate Joseph’s vision, still Joseph had all trust placed in God “In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”  (Psalm 56:11).

Joseph’s brethren planned disaster, setback, and death for him, but God was always with Joseph, saving him from their plots, the evil plot of his brethren.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. When thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy one of Israel, thy saviour, I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

      Isaiah 43:2-3

God’s plan has no limit; He is always with you, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).  He was with Joseph, while in the pit, and at the same time, He was working on behalf of Joseph outside the pit when He spoke through Reuben, Joseph’s brother, terminating the plot to kill Joseph by his brothers.

“And Reuben said unto them, shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness and lay no hand upon him...”

      Genesis 37:22

God was also with Joseph while he was sold to Portiphar, “And Joseph found grace in Portiphar’s sight, and he served him and he made him overseer over his house…” (Genesis 39:5). God cannot leave you to pass through your ordeal alone. For even in your utmost difficulties and challenges you will find favour. For God is with you and will see to it that you actualise your vision.

“God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent; hath he said and shall not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

     Numbers 23:19

God’s plan for your life is “good”. For everything He created is good; and as God his, so He made you. “Ye are gods because ye are children of God” – (Psalm 82:6); God has so many good plans for your life; among which  include, to see you:

    Replenish and

    Subdue the earth

“And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

So God created man in his own image; in the image of God created he, male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

     Genesis 1:26-28

To everything God created, He gave a purpose, the trees created ought to provide food for man and beautify the earth, the sea and all aquatic life has its own purpose, so is the sun, the moon, and stars. But when God created you, He not only gave you a vision(purpose); He placed inside of you drop(s) of greatness, which can only be manifested if you can realise the amount of greatness in you and be able to use this greatness to actualise your vision.

Matthew 25:14-30; a certain master was set out on a journey, and he gave unto one of his servants five talents to another he gave two talent and to another he gave one talent, to every man according to his several ability and he travelled.

He that received five talents went and traded with the same and made them other five talents. And likewise, he that had received one went and dug it in the earth, and hid his master’s money (verse 16-20).

    In a similar way, God has placed in you, the potential to succeed, which ought to bear good fruits.  It is against God’s plan for you not to develop on the talents, He has placed in you, these talents amongst which are;

    Long life

    Healthy living

‘The days of our years are three score and ten, and if by reason of

strength they be fourscore years.   Psalm 90:10.

God wants you to live long, He has placed inside of you the talent to long life; God does not support premature death. ” For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God...” Ezekiel 18: 32. Hence, God expects of you to live and to die at a ripe old age. He does not want you to die young” The days of our years are three score and ten (70 years)...” Psalm 90:10.

In Job chapter 2, The LORD made boast of Job, before Satan, for Job was utilizing all talents (potential) placed in his life; and so Satan, decided to tempt Job, this, God allowed, for He trusted in Job’s ability to overcome every pranks of the devil; still, God warned the devil not to temper with the life of Job, for long life is a precious gift of God to mankind.

... And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold he is in thine hand; but  save his life’

    Job 2:5-6.

For you to live long you have to believe earnestly in the potential of long life in your gene and without doubt you must be able to profess it, like the psalmist in Psalm 118:17 ‘’I shall not die, but live and declare the work of the LORD’’.

In Mathew 25, the servant with five talents realized and believed on the possibility  his talents can be multiplied, and when he developed this vision with courage and faith in God’s word, his talents was multiplied before the return of the master and he was richly rewarded. In the same way, you too can develop your talent of long life; and be surprised at the positive end result.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

    Psalm 23:5-6.

God has placed in you the seed (talent) to living a healthy life, a life free from sickness, fear and worries. “And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness and will put none of the evil diseases of the Egyptians, which thou knowest, upon thee, but will lay them upon all of them that hate thee”.  Deuteronomy 7:15.

Sickness is not of the LORD, it is not among the plans of God for you. When God created Adam, He placed Adam in the Garden of Eden; a land free from sickness until the serpent came and deceived Adam through his wife.

Sickness is a yoke and a burden, whose source is not of God; for illness prevents you to serve God in your full capacity; in the bible neither Jesus nor his disciple fell sick, rather Jesus went about healing the sick and preaching the word of God.

In the same way Christ has given you the mandate to live above sickness, for sickness is an hindrance to God’s work, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do…’’(John 14:12), amongst the many talent placed in you by God, is the “talent to triumph over sicknesses” for sickness is a burden to every Christian.

‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off  thy shoulder and his yoke from off thy neck and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

    Isaiah 10:27.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

    James 5:15.

I will go before thee and make the crooked place straight; I will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron.

    Isaiah 45:2

Success means becoming the person you were meant to be and not trying to be someone else but being who God created you to be (Robert Tilton).  I will therefore say; success is stepping above all odds in life.

The potential to succeed has already been placed in you, for you are born a success and you are destined to succeed.  ‘‘When men are cast down, thou shalt say, there is lifting up’’.  (Job 22:29).  You are not a failure; God expects of you like, the master who gave talents to his servants (Matthew 25) to expand the potential of success inside of you.  ‘’And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my coast and that thine hand might be with me…And God granted him that which he requested’’.  (Jabez 4:10).

Life may not be moving well for you as you have planned, know this day, that, just like Jabez, the potential to succeed is still within you, you just have to recognize it, shun the thought of failure and allow the success bearing seed in you to bear more fruits; through positive thinking and positive confession. You are not a product of failure; God cannot fail so are you. And His plans for you are good and not of evil; ‘’ For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? And his hand his stretched out, who shall turn it back?’’(Isaiah 14:27)

‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night...for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success.

     Joshua 1:8.

And you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season… and whatsoever you doeth shall prosper.

    Psalm 1:3

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

    Genesis 6:8.

Grace can be said to be, ‘unmerited favour’.  God’s grace in your life can only have full impact if it is recognized. In Judges chapter 17; Jephtha was written off by his own people, for he was born of a prostitute.  He was not recognized by the elders of Gilead(his community) as being a useful child, therefore, he and his mother was excommunicated from the land.

Jephtha after many years of pain did realized and maximized the potential of God’s favour in his life, "delay in your vision is never denial to God’s plan" and Jephtha grew to become a mighty man of valour, a trait which further attracted the elders of his community to him; "God’s success is always and very attractive".

And Jephtha said unto the elders of Gilead, did not ye hate me and expel me out of my father’s house? And why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?

    Judges 11:7

God’s favour in you, if fully recognized can change your story; in a way that those who once announced your failure will be the very people to blow your trumpet of success.

In Daniel chapter one, a similar story to that of Jephtha was told, four young men; Hananiah, Daniel, Mishael and Azariah searched deep within themselves and through sacrifice and self mortification, found favour in the sight of God, and this made them outstanding. That when the king, Nebuchadnezzar; communed with them. He found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah in all of Babylon. "And in all matters of wisdom and understanding that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better that all the magicians and astrologers that were in his entire realm". (Daniel 1:20)

And God blessed them and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion…

    Genesis 1:28

The domineering talent is one of those talents that God himself deposited inside of you from birth; for just like every manufacturer designed his product to be better and yield positive result in the market, God too has designed you to shine above your equals ‘’Ye are light of the world; A city that is set on an hill cannot be hidden’’.  (Matthew 5:14).

And the light shineth in darkness and darkness comprehended it not.

     John 1:3.

Before I formed thee in the belly, I know thee and before thou comest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…

    Jeremiah 1:5.

For as the new heavens and the new earth which I make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

     Isaiah 66:22.

God’s plan is to see that you have dominion in everything you do ‘...Ye shall eat riches of the Gentiles and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves’.  (Isaiah 61:6).  If you are yet to understand that within you are the talent to dominate, you will definitely not be able to maximize this domineering gift in you.

The servant with five talent (Matthew 25) could understand that all the master knows has been impacted on him from his rigorous training and servitude; with this he realized that all it takes to utilize the good things in life has been placed in him, hence he dominated with the talent he was given, for he made extra five talent. God expects of you to take dominion, and bear more fruit. For all it takes to dominate and bear good fruit has being given to you.

The earth is the LORD’S and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.

    Psalm 24:1.

Hence forth I call you not servants for the servants knoweth not what his LORD doeth, but I have called you friends for all things that I have heard of my father I have made known unto you.

    John 15:15.

For you to recognize and achieve the good plans of God in your life; you must cultivate the habit of communing daily with the LORD; with this your vision will be constantly renewed and refreshed,’’ And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst’’ John 6: 35

Abide in me and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye except ye abide in me.

I am the vine ye are the branches; He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

     John 15:4-5.

    Let’s pray

Almighty father, we thank you for the various talents you have deposited in our lives and we are deeply sorry for the wrong use of these gifts.

We now recognize your plans in our life and we ask you not to allow us to stray away from it; In Jesus name, Amen.

    __________________________________2 _________________________________________

And it came to pass in the last days saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.

    Act 2:17.

Physiologically, vision is a function of the eye; it has the ability of relaying information from the surrounding through the pupil, lens and the retina to the brain.  The retina contains the sensory cells of the eye (rod and cones) which is responsible for day and night vision; the rods and cones further sends, information to the optic lobes of the brain through the optic nerves, where the information is interpreted as ‘vision’.

God designed the human parts for various physiological functions; so to every body parts created in humans, there is a purpose for it. In this same way, God has created you for a purpose and he has placed in you a very unique and specific vision which is meant to be accomplished during your sojourn on earth.

In order for you to actualize your vision, God has also placed in you the enablement and all it takes to get to your expected end (Jeremiah 29:11); and so He poured out His Spirit on you, to give you direction as you keep moving towards actualization of your vision ‘‘...There is a spirit in man; and the inspiration of Almighty giveth them understanding’’ (Job 32:8).

Then Peter said silver and gold have I none but such as I have give I thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

    Act 3:6.

Vision is seen as God’s indwelling spirit in man, the unused and untapped potential man in man that makes a man what he ought to be; it is God’s given idea in man.  The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.  (Romans 8:16).

Note here, that your vision can also be seen as God’s divine idea, plan and goal for you; this can only be manifested when God’s spirit dwells and leads you in your every activities.  In Acts 3:10, Peter and John after reception of God’s spirit, could see in themselves what others could not see in them and when they met the man born lame at the gate of the temple called ‘beautiful’; the lame man who was constantly laid at the gate of the temple begging for arm, begged from Peter and John, because he, the lame man, has come to accept his fate; for the society has succeeded in convincing him that to his problem there is no solution.

Peter and John could say to the lame man ‘…Get up and walk’; for in them is the spirit of God - Holy Spirit, which gave to them ideas and boldness that ordinary human mind cannot comprehend. A well accomplished vision will always lead to a happy ending, and so the lame man was healed.

In Act 2:17, the Bible differentiates, between, vision, dream and prophecy. as it relates to the actualization of God's goal in our lives. Though it is sad to note that, most people currently have loss their vision; many have died not accomplishing that which they were destined to accomplish and few are still living without knowing their God's giving vision. Hence the scripture says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6.

Prophecy precedes a vision; it is the past, future or current proclamation of the manifestation of God’s glory. It prepares for you a straight path to your vision and it increases the pace to your vision accomplishment, hence prophecy can be said to be the proclamation of the manifestation of God’s in dwelling spirit in man.

“…. And the spirit of God came upon him (Saul) and he prophesied among the prophets.

    I Samuel 10:10

But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the spirit rested upon them, and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle and they prophesied in the camp.

    Numbers 11:26

The spirit of God brings prophecy. It is the first sign of God presence; without prophecy, there is no vision. Jesus understood this and before his death. He prayed and prophesied good things on his disciples.

“Jesus speaking (prophesying) to his disciples, said “verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father.

    John 14:12

Vision is the expression of God’s spirit in Man. 1 Samuel chapter 17, David having realised God’s vision for him, the spirit of God in him, pushed him into defeating Goliath, paving the way to actualisation of his vision of becoming the king of Israel. “…but I (David) come to thee (Goliath) in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defiled” (1Samuel 17:45). God’s given vision is open to all, who gladly accept that by their strength they cannot succeed; Therefore, submitting totally to God.

I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

     John 15:5

Dream in this context is man’s happy ending. It is the perfection of God's in dwelling spirit. Dreams according to Act chapter 2 verse 17, comes at old age, “…and your old men shall dream dreams”, (Act 2:17). Dreams can be said to come after a well accomplished vision or after an unaccomplished vision. Hence, dream can be tormenting or enjoyable.

“But the spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.

    1 Samuel 16:14

For you to have a perfect ending -a suitable dream, what God want of you is to accept him as your Lord and personal saviour, and to live according to his precept, if you have done this, He will ensure that your vision is accomplished and you will see positive ideas constantly renewed within you, Ideas that will lift you from nothing into greatness.

Every positive ideas that is imbibed in you, is God given vision, set to put your life in place; and to see that you too, will have a happy dream at old age -a life of accomplishment.

It has been discovered that an average individual has over two thousand ideas (vision) a day passing through his mind. Though not all ideas are positive, some are definitely negative, “for the devil has come to steal, to kill, and to destroy...” (John 10:10).

God’s vision (idea) does not necessary chose the qualified rather, it qualifies the chosen; it does not come with age or wealth. It is a free gift from God.

Here is the list of some great people, whom out of nothing discovered their God given vision and without considering any form of hinderance, were able to achieve their vision.

Henry Ford (1863-1947), he was a mechanic who earned twenty dollar per week. He was able to discover God’s vision in his life. This vision made him one of the richest and best known people in the world, for he developed and manufactured the first automobile that middle class citizens can afford.

Another man who was able to utilize God’s given vision was Eli Whitney, sitting on his front porch on a faithful day, and watching his cat trying hard to get into his canary cage; suddenly had the idea of how to separate cotton from its seed and this led him into inventing the cotton gin.

Also, a young man, Charles Revson, he was very talented in the area of colour combination. He had the vision of using his colours on women’s faces. He developed this vision and he became a multi-million dollar businessman for he founded Revlon Corporation.

The problem with most Christians is “fear” and “worry”. This two character moves in similar direction for where you see worry; there you shall also see fear. The fact that you have not reached your destination or things in your life are not yet in a straight path, does not in any way make you a failure; it only means that you are a step closer to your destiny.

Whenever the thought of failing start culminating in your mind, the end product is always fear, worry and defeat and these are not from God.

William Walter Artkinson, in his book law of attraction has the following to say about "worry" and “fear”.

“Worry is not desire, - A man may worry himself to death and yet nothing will be accomplished, but let that man transmit his worry and fear into desire and interest a lot will be accomplished.

Worry is the child of fear if you all cut fear, worry will die for want of nourishment.

Remember, the only thing to fear is fear, and well don’t even fear, fear. For he is a cowardly chap at the best, who will run if you show a little act of bravery.”

Fear and worry has given many a tormenting dream at old age. Every positive idea conceived and nurtured for a long period is achievable.

Christopher Columbus, after discovering the new world from his great exploit was confronted by his friends and peers; they said, "We could have discovered the new world before you”. Columbus replied, "The difference between you and me is that, I had the idea and without given any chance to fear and worry, I executed my idea and I achieved my vision"

“There is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”

    Job 32:8

Years ago, a minister named Russel Conwell preached a sermon titled “Acres of Diamonds”, a message centered on the effect of, fear of not accomplishing great things and worries in life. He said, “A man had a large farm, but to him, it was not enough, he was always afraid of dying a pauper and he worried too much about life necessities.

“Therefore I say unto you. Take no thoughts for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

     Matthew 6:25-27”

The man who had the farm, wanted to be very rich with little or no stress, so he sold his farm to travel around the world, in his quest for wealth and treasures which he desired. eventually, he still died a pauper.

Meanwhile, the man who bought the farm was out by the creek in the same year the purchase of the farm was made and happened too look down just as the sun caught something standing on the ground. He picked it up to discover that it was a beautiful diamond.

That one Diamond turned out to be one of the most valuable diamonds ever discovered and the farm became the world most famous mine.

Many Christians like the owner of the farm has strayed away from their God given idea (vision) for them because of either fear or worry.

Myles Munroe, in one of his books said, “the cemetery has the world richest vision, for there in the cemetery, you will find great scientist  who were never recognised, business men and women who could not utilize their vision, musicians who never wrote a song, Great surgeons who never used a stethoscope. The cemetery in it contains great men and women that lost their vision.

Fear and worries are meant to be a stepping stone for a man with vision, not a channel to discourage him; he ought to use trials and challenges which are precursors to fear and worries, as a means to actualizing his vision.

Here is a story of a camel that fell into a “deep well” and got stuck, all attempt to pull the camel out was abortive; so the owner of the camel decided to cover up the pit and burry the camel alive; in order to prevent any such occurrences.

While the camel was still inside the pit, and as pile of dirt was thrown into the pit. The camel saw the dirt as an opportunity to survive, with each pile of dirt thrown on the pit, the camel shakes it off and stepped on it, with this, the camel was rescued.

God, does not want you to give up due to the challenges of life, rather He expects you to use life trial, as a means to move on towards accomplishing your vision. The world may not believe in your vision, know today, that God believes in you and God will not allow the difficulties surrounding your vision to drown you.

“When thou passeth through waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire thou shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

    Isaiah 43:2

"The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfectly toward him..."

    2 Chronicles 16:9

Finally, you have to believe in your vision, hold on to it and ensure that it is executed; knowing full well that "there is no good way of doing what is wrong”. So as you strive to execute your God given idea, you must not involve yourself with evil, and you must be careful with the choice of companions you keep, for they can either mar you or make you, “Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt good manners.” (1corinthians 15: 33)

God did promise the children of Israelites, a land flowing with milk and honey. He gave them a vision which they ought to accomplish -the promise land, still the Israelites have to pass through the wilderness and were faced with many challenges, but they did not give up, the scripture says, "we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair. (2 Corinthians 4:8).

“And he showed me Joshua, the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

    Zachariah 3:1

There is no limit to what God’s given vision can achieve, but to every idea, there is a certain level of limitation or blockage that must be overcome before a vision can be actualize. In Zachariah chapter 3, Joshua the high priest was seen standing before the angel of the Lord, for his rewards or for the LORD to crown his life’s service, but standing close to him to resist him was the devil, “...be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The devil can only gain stance in your life once he sees a loop hole for he, the devil is the father of all limitation.

“Now Joshua was clothed with a filthy garment, and stood before the angel.

    Zechariah 3:3

For Joshua, his filthy garment was the key entrance of Satan’s limitation power into his life. You can only live above satanic powers, if you have none of his possession and you solely depend on God; Joshua the high priest was able to defeat Satan’s resisting power, because he was standing in God’s presence.

“And God shall wipe away all tears form their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

    Revelation 21: 4

The Israelites also had their own share of limitation, which was the wall of Jericho, “And the LORD said unto Joshua, see I have given into the hands Jericho, and the kings, thereof, and the mighty men of valour.” (Joshua 6:2)

The term Jericho, means a sweet place, a place of vision, the city of moon. God actually gave the Israelites this city for a possession. Yet, the walls of Jericho prevented them from claiming what is rightfully theirs, to them Jericho’s wall was a hindrance.

To you, your limitation may not actually be a physical wall like that of the Israelite but your hindrance may be “sin”. “Sin” has blocked so many destiny and it has caused stagnancy in  many lives. “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.” (Proverb 15:8). Sin can also cause delay and denial to the actualization of your goal which can lead to heaps of problem and challenges coming from the devil.

“And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredom, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.

After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities even forty years and ye shall know my breach of promise.

    Numbers 14:33-34

To the Israelite, disobedience, lies and distrust, caused them to spend 40 years in the wilderness on a journey meant for forty days. What then is your own limitation? What sin do you commit habitually and has caused a blockage to your vision, “How is the gold become dim! How is that most fine gold changed! The stone of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street."  (Lamentation 4:1)

Sin, no matter how small you think of it, has great effect in your life and to prevent such limitation in your life, you need to guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

There is no secret thing that God does not know, so in order to break through your walls of Jericho, you need to strive for holiness.

“For nothing is secrets, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid that shall not be known and come abroad”

    Luke 8: 17

Your vision cannot come to “perfect realization, if on you, is the garment of sin, “Examine yourself whether ye be in the faith; prove your own self...” (2 Corinthians 13:5).  It is only after a thorough self-examination and a firm resolution that you can start walking in the path of vision.

“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall”

    1 Corinthians 10:13

Here are some certain hindrances, which you have to look out for, as you examine yourself. As listed in Galatians 5:19-20; which includes:

And others, including emulation, variance, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness, revels and such like

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do serve but have pleasure in them that do them.

    Romans 1:32

This is sexual intercourse by a married person with someone other than his spouse. It is against the sixth commandment of God. “Thou shall not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14).

Adultery not only defiles the matrimonial bed, it causes a blurred vision in the home, and if not prevented with a firm resolution and confession, it can escalate into a broken home, devoid of matrimonial blessings. “But whose committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul (vision).” (Proverb 6:32).

This is sexual intercourse, especially on the part of an unmarried person. Fornication destroys God’s temple which is your body and this gives room for the evil one to temper with your vision and your life mission.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

    1 Corinthians 6:18-19

The scripture condemns fornication, and God himself detest fornicators “I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators.”  (1 Corinthians 5:9). God does not want you to make companion with fornicators, for the act of fornication is contagious “Do not be deceived evil communications corrupt good manners.”  (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Fornication can bring you to naught. It makes a man empty and makes one’s vision easily disposable “For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread…”  (Proverbs 6:26)

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that, ye should abstain from fornication.

    1 Thessalonians 4:3

Lasciviousness is a feeling of strong desire, especially such a feeling driven by sexual arousal. This is also seen as “lust” and it can be equated to adultery. Lasciviousness makes you impure from the inside to the outside; “For as a man thinketh in his hearth, so is he” (Proverb 23:7)

“But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed “adultery” with her already in his heart.”

    Matthew 5:28

You need to guard your heart above everything (proverb 4:23); for  within the heart proceed evil thought, lasciviousness and other evil things (Mark 7:20-23)

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    Philippians 4:8

Idolatry is the worship of idols, which include material possession such as money. Idolatry is spontaneously, penetrating into Christianity and it is causing many Christians to lose their focus on God, for they now prefer living for the creation rather than for the creator (Romans 1:25).

For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrow.

    1Timothy 6:10

Idolatry leads to death of one’s vision. It can also bring down the wrath of God; “And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsake me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.” (Jeremiah 1:16).

This literally means the practice of magic. Witchcraft annoys God and it makes a man to live a life without purpose, the moment you give in to, “witchcraft” you drive out God’s spirit in you, and you will be occupied with an evil spirit.

There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination or an observer of times, or an enchanter or “a witch”.

    Deuteronomy 18:10

God detest those who practice witchcraft, “Thou shall not suffer a witch to live” (Exodus 22:18). He does not want us even to patronize them that practice witchcraft; for God’s judgment to them that seek counsel from witchcraft is “death”.

So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for seeking counsel of one that had “a familiar spirit” to enquire of it.

And enquired not of the LORD; therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

    1 Chronicles 10:13-14.

The scripture also equates witchcraft and idolatry to two grievous sins – stubbornness and disobedience, and this too, has caused the death of so many vision and the lost of so many purpose in life and among Christians, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry...”  (1 Samuel 15:23)

God’s desire is to see you save, and free from damnation; “….Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place” (Jeremiah 7:3).  God wants you to regain your lost vision, He wants to take you back to your “Garden of Eden” – a place where you can easily commune with God; He says “Come let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

All you need to do is to give up on your sins and your reckless living, and God will give you peace and as well take you through the walls of your Jericho into the “land of your Jericho”.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.

    2 Chronicles 7:14

In Joshua chapter 6, God saw the readiness of the Israelite to succeed and claim their possession, and God saw also the limitation before them. Hence He ordered Joshua that the Israelite should move round the city of Jericho for seven days and on the last day, they should make a loud noise.

Not until the Israelite shouted(made a loud noise) the walls of Jericho did not fall. This shout to God represented total surrendering of the Israelite to His sovereignty while to the Israelite it was a shout of Victory. If you do not surrender your all to God your victorious shout remains pending.

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me.

    Jeremiah 4: 1

God needs you all to himself; and all He wants, is to see that you take a turn from a life of sin into a life of righteousness and success.” Your iniquities have turned away these things and your sins have witholden good things from you” (Jeremiah 5: 25). God wants a genuine repentance from you. Just like Peter who saw Jesus walking on the sea, in Matthew Chapter 28; and said” If it be thou, bid me to come unto thee on the water” and Jesus replied; “come”. Your story will be different from that of Peter, who started sinking in the sea on his attempt to meet Jesus when for he remembered all his limitation, because you have presented your burden to Christ“Casting all your cares upon him; for he careth for you” (1peter 5:7) God who is calling you to himself, He his capable of aborting every limitation power in your life.

And one the elders saith unto me weep not behold, the lion of the tribe of Judea, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seal thereof.

    Revelation 5:5

Joshua, in the book of Joshua chapter 6, was a man of faith who refused to look at the content or quality of the wall of Jericho; rather he focused on God and believed solely on God’s power to destroy the walls and to give him and the Israelites victory over their limitation as it was already promised by God.”God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should repent; hath he said, and shall not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall not make it good” (Numbers 23: 19)

God loves you and He wants you to live above your limitation, He wants to give you a new life and he wants to strengthen your vision.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is anew creature; old things are passed      away; behold; all things are become new.

    2Corinthians 5: 17

You have to trust in God’s redeeming grace, his mercy and his love; for God love to see you triumph over your limitation.”Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and sup with him and he with me.” (Revelation 3: 20)

Come to me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and   ye shall find rest unto your souls.

    Matthew 11: 28

...Behold I set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it...

    Revelation 3: 8

God is expecting you to write a firm resolution that will guide you not to go back to your limitation (your old sinful self) and this will act as constant reminder of your total dependence in God.

And thou shall write them upon the door post of thine house (heart), and upon the gates (soul); that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers...

    Deuteronomy 11: 20 -21

    Let’s pray

Father in heaven, we thank you for your grace upon our lives, we repent this day from every of our atrocities, which must have separated us from your redeeming grace, we boldly and gladly accept you as the LORD of our lives.

And we Lord, for a clear vision, so that we will be successful here on earth and above all we ask that you level every mountain that presents itself as limitation in our lives; In Jesus Name, Amen.

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

    1corinthians 3: 15

For gold to be refined it has to pass through fire with flames reaching temperatures in excess of 1000 degree Celsius. Our vision and potential actualization is like gold, it does not manifest easily, it must pass through testing (refining)

Adam the first man created by God knew that the garden of Eden and all its content was his, yet he had to work; for with working his skills and ability was refined and he was able to name all animals and also did multiply as he was commanded of his creator, God.

Everyone has drop(s) of greatness inside which will not manifest if it does not pass through refining, the joy in all this is that as a Christian, when your work is being tested, God is always with you.”...I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”- Matthew 28: 20. This confidence on God, made Job, when he was passing through trial, could still say” For I know that my redeemer liveth...” – Job 19:25.

God has placed in you every adaptive feature needed to survive your period of training, and as a good teacher watches his pupil write a promotion exam without mentioning the solutions to the pupil, God is watching you, for He knows, just like the good teacher that within you is the ability to pass through life challenges.

There hath no temptation taken but such as is common to man. But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

    1Corinthians 10: 13

Here are the stories of TEN famous people in the world, whose work were tested by fire, still they did not give up and today they are celebrated for their success and determination.

Thomas Edison, failed over 10,000 times in order to invent a commercially viable electric light bulb, still he did not give up. When Thomas was asked by a news reporter, if he felt like a failure after having gone through over 9,000 failed attempts, Edison replied, “Why would I feel like a failure? And why would I ever give up? I now know definitely over 9,000 ways an electric bulb will not work; success is almost in my gasp”

Thomas was also the same person whose teacher said, “He was too stupid to learn anything”, Thomas was also fired from his first two employment positions for not being productive enough; however he did not give up.

Bill gate is one of the wealthiest men in the world; he did suffer failure in business. His first business was indeed a failure “Traf –O – Data” a partnership Bill Gates, Paul Gilbert and Paul Allen. The goal of the business was to create reports engineers from raw traffic data.

The company achieved a little bit of success for the machine they had built to process the data flopped. Although Gate failed at his first business attempt, he was not discouraged from trying out something new. Gate was able to put together a company that revolutionized the personal computing market place, and today he is the world richest man.

    3.J. K. ROWLING

Rowling has one of the inspirational success stories of our time. Many people simply know her as the woman who created “HARRY POTTER”. Rowling’s vision also did pass through refining for her life was not peaches on cream.

In 1990, Rowling first had the idea of HARRY POTTER. She began writing furiously. However, later that year her mother died after 10 years of complication from multiple sclerosis. In 1992, she moved to Portugal to teach English where she married and had a daughter. In 1993, her marriage ended in divorce. At this time she had three chapter of HARRY POTTER in her suitcase.

Rowling at this time was meant to see herself as a failure, for she was jobless, penniless and with a dependent child. She suffered through bouts of depression. It was a difficult time for her, but she pushed through her period of trial.

In 1995, all 12 major publishers rejected the HARRY POTTER SCRIPT. It was a year later, a small publishing house, accepted it. In 1997 the book was published with only 1000 copies, 500 of which were distributed to libraries.

In 1997 and 1998, the book won award from Nestle Smarities Book Prize and the British Book Award for children book of the year. Today Rowling has sold more than 400 million copies of her book and today she is considered to be, the most successful woman author in the United Kingdom.

Stephen King is famous for many critically acclaimed novels, Stephen King’s first novel, Carrie, was rejected 30 times before it was published. Stephen actually threw the manuscript into the garbage out of frustration, only later to be retrieved by his wife who wildly believed in King’s vision of becoming a published author.

Today, King has over 50 novels and has sold over 350 million copies of his work.

    5.JIM CAREY

Jim Carey grew up in a low income family, with a father who struggled to keep jobs. They were so poor that he had to dropout of High School at the age of 15 and got a job as a janitor just to help support the family. Today Jim has produced the highest grossing comedies of all times such as; The mask, Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, and others.

Before Jim’s sailing to the top, at one of his comic stand up at a club called Yuk Yuk in Toronto, he was booed off stage. When he was auditioned for live show in 1980, he failed to land his part; still he did not give up, rather he wrote a cheque of $10,000,000 million dollar, placed it on his wallet, believing in the law of attraction “you get more of what you think about, talk about, and feel strongly about”. For seven years, until he received a $10,000,000 million dollar payment for his work in Dumb and Dumber.

Oprah was the daughter of a teenage low income mother, not only was her living condition rough, she was sexually abused at the age of 9 by her cousin, uncle and a family friend. At the age of 14 Oprah got pregnant, but her son died shortly after birth.

However, at the age of 14, Oprah was sent to live with her father, Vernon. He helped her focus on her schooling, and she was subsequently accepted on a full scholarship to the University of Tennessee.

After school, Oprah was hired on to a local television for, the news; things did not go well. She was fired by the producer. Taking a position with another station in Baltimore, she hosted a local talk show named, people are talking.

Later in 1983, Winfrey relocated to Chicago to host a station's low rated talk show called AM Chicago, which later gave rise to the popular “Oprah Winfrey Show.” Giving up is not an option.

Henry Ford is the founder of Henry Ford Motor Companies of all times. Ford is no stranger to failure, yet he never gave up on his vision.

In 1989 Ford formed his first company, Detroit Automobile Company; with backing from the famous lumber baron, William H. Murphy. This company went bankrupt.

His second attempt was 1901, when he formed Henry Ford Company, which was later named, Cadillac Automobile Company, this was also not successful. It was Henry’s third try, the Ford Motor Company that became a hit, He successfully revolutionize the automobile industry and ensured an automobile in every home, selling over 17 million unit of his product. Never give up.

The Dyson Vacuum Cleaner is known around the world as the vacuum that does not lose suction. This idea was first borne at Dyson’s early 30’s, when he became frustrated with his Hoover Vacuum and its loss of suction.

His big idea was to use the concept of cyclonic separation to create the world’s first bag less vacuum cleaner. It took Dyson 5,126 failures to finally get it right; he was faced with more challenges when no distributor in the UK would take on the revolutionary product.

So, Dyson hit the Japanese Market in 1983, with a hot pink version of his Vacuum Cleaner. it won an industrial award in Japan and in 1986, manufacturers still did not want to take it on, instead of giving up, in 1993, Dyson formed his own company, to market his product. And today, Dyson is worth $ 3 billion dollar, all because he never gave up.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo, the founder and CEO of Slot System Limited, also the brain behind TECHNO and INFINIX, the fastest selling phone in brands in Nigeria. Just like many other successful men, passed through his own period of refining and he did not gave up.

Ezeigbo studied Electrical Electronic Engineering at Yaba College of Technology in 1988 and got a Higher National Diploma(HND), before serving Nigeria during his, National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) at Guinness Nigeria PLC, in 1996.after completing his service year he tried securing job with any company and this was not successful. With the increment of unemployment, he decided to work as an apprentice, learning how to repair computers. After which he squatted with a friend, who owned a book store and there he used also as his store to repair computers for individuals.

Due to his honesty and good relationship with his customers, he was given some printers to sell by one of his customers and with this he was able to rent his own store( A store he later bought, many years later for 100 million Naira)

From his new store, Nnamdi began the sales of computers, which later covers the sales of mobile phone; he expanded his horizon when he travelled to China,  and partnered with a guy, who worked with “Bird Company” and together they  designed the first Techno Phone, Techno T101; but the market did not accept it, it was a failure, for the dual SIM was not working together; not giving up they came up with Techno 201, it was still not a huge success, and it was giving to marketers on credit to sell and later pay back; at this times Nnamdi was funding these production all alone and so it was difficult to producing large quantities. He decided to advice marketers to pay in advance and this was the turning point of TECHNO business. Today Nnamdi has built for himself a multimillion dollar company

Walt Disney is the man who has affected generation to come with his cartoon creations, which include; Mickey Mouse. Before climbing to success, Disney was fired by an Editor in 1919 from his job at the Kansas City Star paper because he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.

Disney did not give up, he ventured into business which landed into bank ruptancy, for he was unable to manage money and the business wounded up heavily in debt. His failure, however did not prevent him, from adding more effort.

He later formed, Walt Disney Company; all of his past experience helped him to pave way for a successful business; touching lives of millions across the globe, with cartoons and animated movies.

Just as these successful men endured their period of refining, you too can join in the league of successful people, if you decide not to give up but to pursue your vision with all determination.

Count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptation (challenges)

    James 1:2

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation (challenges). For when he his tried, he shall receive the crown of life.

    James 1:12

The world does not celebrate those who fell and could not rise, rather the world celebrate those who after series of challenges still soar to the top.

The key to failure may be fear and worry but to success there is no key; only determination and courage  is needed for one to be successful “The best was to overcome the attitude of fear is to assume the mental attitude of courage”(William Walker)

Robert H. Schuller, in his book, “tough times never last but tough people do”; listed ten principles to vision (idea) actualization.

Never reject ideas because you see something wrong with it.

Never reject an idea because you won’t get the credit.

Never reject an idea because it is impossible.

Never reject an idea because your mind is already made up.

Never reject an idea because you don’t have the money, manpower, muscle to achieve it.

Never reject an idea because it can create conflict.

Never reject an idea because it is not your way of doing things.

Never reject an idea because it might fail.

Never reject an idea because it is sure to succeed.

Always say to yourself; whenever you are faced with a mountain, I will not quit; I will keep striving until I climb over.

Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying, on arriving at their vision, the world cries, Bravo! I know you could do it (Napoleon Hill).

When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the Iron Gate that leadeth to the city; which opens to them of his own accord: and they went out and passed through one street.

    Acts 12:10

Every closed gate has in it an entity which it is either protecting from harm or preventing its glory from being heard or seen. In the same way every solution to a problem is lurk within a specific gate, not until the gate is recognized the solution will not be effective.

Acts 3:16, a lame man was constantly laid at the gate called “Beautiful” not necessarily because the gate will heal him, but the lame man knew that his solution is within the gate. Hence he was laid there in the gate daily, seeking help from passers by. And eventually he met the solution to his problem.

Lift up your heads, o ye gates and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting door; and the king of glory shall come in.

Who is this king of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

    Psalm 24:6-7

The opening of gates bring out the solution which it contains, the gate holding the solution of the man born lame in Acts chapter 3, may be different from yours; still every gate ought to be opened for solution to be made available to every problem,”...Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if die, it bringeth forth much fruit” (John 12:24). To open wide the gate is to proffer a solution from the root of the problem.

Jesus Christ fully understood, the reason towards attending to problem from the root, hence he visited Lazarus – his friend who has been laid in the grave, four days already. Jesus decided to go to the entrance (gate) of Lazarus's grave, and he said,” Lazarus, come forth “(John 11:43). He solved the problem from the root and Lazarus came back to life.

2King chapter 7, the Israelite were in severe famine, for the gate to the city was locked for fear of the Syrian army; who camped round Israel .the Israelites were so terrified that, hunger made most of them cannibals.

And the king said unto her what aileth thee? And she answered, this woman said unto me, give thy son that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.

So we boiled my son, and did eat him and I said unto her on the next day, give thy son that we may eat him; and she hath hid her son.

    2king 6:28-29

Inasmuch as problem persist in life inorder to sharpen your Christian faith, taking a wrong decision is never a way out, “The Devil cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...” (John 10:10). There is no right way of doing what is wrong, “...God cannot be tempted with evil” (James 1: 13).

The famine continued in Israel (2king 7) until four lepers, made a decision, not to die with their vision, and they took the battle to the gate of the Syrian army.”Those inspired idea inside you will not bear any fruit until you bring them into life”- Robert Tilton.

And they were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate and they said one to another, why sit we here until we die?

If we say we enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there, and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, let us fall unto the host of the Syrians...

    2king 7:3-4

Determination to success has no limit, it is either a win or a loss battle, and only those with positive mindset win such battle. The four lepers, decided to push on to the gate of the enemy for there with the enemy lies the solution to their problem.

God has placed in you the solution to every problem you are facing in your life. He has deposited in you the enablement to succeed, for as He his, so did He made you” And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our own likeness...” –Genesis 1:26.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness...

    1peter 2:9

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail, and thou shalt be above only, and thou shall not be beneath.

    Deuteronomy 28: 13.

For you to conquer your problem you must know your problem source, Luke chapter 18, tells of a widow whom after identifying her problem source, sought for solution before the judge, presenting her problem in the gate of the judge both day and night.  The judge said, “yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me” (Luke 18:5).

God does not want your problem to see your end, He knows your problem will not terminate your life; still He does not want you to be idle, doing nothing over the problem. ”an idle soul shall suffer hunger” (Proverb 19:15).

An idle soul is a soul without hope; it is one with a blurred vision. The ideas needed for you to take your problem to the gate has already been deposited in you; all God expect of you is to locate and make full use of the solution before you.’ Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee...” (2Timothy 1:6)

So because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

    Revelation 3:16.

Many Christian are still living in depression because they have failed to utilize the strength placed in them for solving their life puzzles, therefore the devil has taken hold of their vision, ”But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”(Matthew 13:25).

In Mark chapter 5, there was a woman with an issue of blood; she had every reason to lose faith in God and accept failure as her fate. But she did not, she refused to see her condition as fate, she refused her predicament to be a key factor in determining her future, she refused to be definitely by her challenges and this made her strong as she searched deeper for solutions and without giving up she was able to present her situation to the gate.

When she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment.

For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.    Mark 5:27-28

For you to excel in life, you must be ready to take a step, a bold step of faith, and God will crown your effort with success, “and straight away the fountain of her blood was dried up...” (Mark 5:29). In 1Samuel 17, when David was faced with Goliath at the gate, in a fierce battle, David refused to see the giant in Goliath, rather he saw a problem that will not defile a solution. He saw a problem that will be overcomed with a single idea, God's given vision. Though his brethren and the whole army did not believe in his vision, but determination and zeal was the steam driving him,” If everyone believes in your vision, immediately, then something is faulty”. For amongst the thousands of army it was just King Saul, that saw possibility in David’s vision;” when God is involved all protocols is aborted and He pushes you to those people who will add more fuel to your success”. And so King Saul provided David all the necessary ammunitions needed to aid a smooth victory.

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of the strongholds.

    2Corinthians 10:4

...The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill...

    Ecclesiastes 9:11

And so, David defeated Goliath, with just his staff, five stone, a scrib and his sling, for he could not fit into all ammunition provided to him.

And David said to Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them; and David put them off him.

    1Samuel 17: 39

The four leprous men, in 2King 7, could identify their inner strength just like David and with this same inner strength together with their God given idea(vision), they went to the gate of their problem.

And they (the leprous men) rose up in the twilight to go unto the camp of the Syrians (gate of their problem); and when they were came to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold there was no man there.

For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of Chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of great host; and they said to one another, lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the king of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was and fled for their life.

    2King 7:5-7

Like the lepers, God is patiently  waiting for you to break through your idleness; to break through your comfort zone. God is waiting for you to put to use the idea you have been nurturing, the God given idea in you. For after the Syrians arose and fled the Israelite gate of victory and solution was wide open and this was the end of famine in Israel.

If you must conquer your present predicament (challenges), you must be able to identify the solution source. Is your challenge finance? Is it ill health? Is it marital problem? Is search for life partner? And others, you must be ready to present them all to God in the gate of solution alongside with your God given idea

I will lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help; my help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

    Psalm 121:1-2.

The choice you make determine how fast the solution of your problem will come, for God has given you the power of choice, which will make you either accept things the way they are or you search deeper for a solution –Robert Tilton.

King Hezekiah, in Isaiah chapter 37, was given a termination letter by the mighty king of Assyria, after going through the letter, quickly Hezekiah sought deep for a solution, and instead of being afraid or silent doing nothing. He took the letter to the gate of solution.

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up unto the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

    Isaiah 37: 14

Then the angels of the LORD went forth and smooth in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and four score and five thousand...

    Isaiah 37:36.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed.

     2Corinthians 4:8-9

Man is born out of pain in a world filled with pain and challenges; in this world he lives and dies; developing various strategies to conquer his fears and worries. Many Christians have been defeated in this life journey, due to lack of understanding on how to manage defeat, fear and worries “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...”(Hosea 4:6)and this is the major reason, why Christians keep sinking deep in their challenges, for the devil is capitalizing on their weakness.

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorance of his devices.

    2Corinthians 2:11

The Devil’s strategy for defeating Christians is ignorance and fear, for wherever you see fear, there is bound to be Failure. Thanks to God, for Christ’s death on the cross has given unto us a special gift called courage.

In Luke Chapter 4: 37-40, Jesus was in a boat with his disciple and he was asleep, when suddenly there was a great storm, the disciples initially thought that mental reasoning, philosophy and logic will put an end to the storm but surprisingly for them the wave kept increasing as they imputed more of their natural effort, realizing how exhausted they were becoming, from all failed attempt the Devil introduced fear amongst them” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”(Ephesians 6:12). And the disciples beckoned on Jesus.

For the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for the pulling down of strong hold.

    2Corinthians 10:4.

For by him were all things created, that are on heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities or powers, all things were created by him, and for  him.

    Colossians 1:16

    In order to defeat Satan and his cohort you must understand the factors that draws heaven to defending you, and be able to apply them appropriately” Then the angel said unto me, fear not, Daniel for from the first day that you did set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before God, thy words were heard...”(Daniel10:12). Three key factors you ought to know that can draw heaven to fighting your battle, just like Angel Michael, was sent to fight for Daniel, in Daniel chapter 10, are;

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint.

    Luke 18:11

Prayer is the divine communication between God and man, it is the bridge were problem meets solution; Prayer is the live wire that connects divinity with humanity, hence man needs to, pray without ceasing(1Thessalonians5:17)

Every prayer spiced with faith will be very effective, as Christ has said that with faith one can move mountain;(Mat 17.20) “Faith is the substance hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrew 11:1). A prayer without faith is like a plant on a good soil with no good root. Show me a faithful Christian and I will show to you Christianity with joy.

A prayer of faith melts the heart of God; and opens the door to a swift reply from God. Isaiah 38:1-5, King Hezekiah, fell sick unto death, prophet Isaiah, after enquiring from God on the king’s situation, visited king Hezekiah, informing that the lord has approved his death through the illness; said to the King, “thus saith the LORD, set thine house in order; for thou shall die and not live”(Isaiah 38:1); on hearing this King Hezekiah, knelt down and prayed, with faith for good health. And the LORD heard him, which means, that means, King Hezekiah has long been praying a faithless prayer Which attracted no reply from God.

     Then came the word of the LORD, to Isaiah, saying;

Go, and say to Hezekiah, thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears; behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

    Isaiah 38:4 -5

Prayer is the factor that secures and protects your vision. A Christian who does not live a life of prayer is as one who is dead amongst the living, “pray without ceasing” (1Thessalonians 5:17)..

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall rise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

    James 5: 15

I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting

    1Timothy 2:8

I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

    Romans 12:1

Sacrifice is the ability to give away something valuable, in order to get at least a possibility to gain something else of greater value. Jesus is the master of all sacrifice, for he sacrificed himself so that we will draw close to God. “For ye are bought with a price...” (1Corinthians 6:20)

But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed

    Isaiah 53:5

Sacrifice pulls you out of your comfort and gives you a seat with divinity. It prepares you for a divine encounter it makes you a Christian. For you to draw heaven into fighting for you arranging your ideas and to help you actualize your vision, you must cultivate the habit of sacrifice. Remember Abraham, the father of faith, not until he left UR, his city of birth, his comfort zone and followed God, his name and story did not change (Genesis 15)

For you to excel above every satanic manipulation and limitations towards your vision, you must be willing to sacrifice ‘self’ “so then those that are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:8)

Daniel chapter 1, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah, and Daniel, were among the Israelite chosen by Asphenaz, on the order of king Nebuchadnezzar, for a three year program(Training) in Babylon; at the onset of the training ,they( Daniel, Mishael, Hananiah and Azariah) purposed in their heart, not to defile themselves with meals from the king’s table. With this decision, they were able to sacrifice, the secular way of life, the evil perpetuated by the King and his household, they sacrificed all sinful pleasure accompanying their training in order  to be identified with God, they said to their Asphenaz ”prove thy servants... give us pulse(vegetable)to eat and water to drink”(Daniel 1:12). "Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove... the perfect will of God" Rom. 12:2

Daniel and his friends, broke out of their comfort zone by the reason of their sacrifice, it was not  fun filled for them, it was a painful but enduring experience, they saw others feeding from the king table, living a life of pleasure, yet  Daniel and his friends were not enticed with what they saw, they were much more focused than the others by reason of their sacrifice; and after the three years of training  God did bless them abundantly more than their equal. For God saw their sacrifice and the level of their commitment.

And God gave them, Knowledge and skills in all learning and wisdom.

      Daniel 16:17

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

    2Corinthians 9:7

Charity is the attitude of kindness and understanding to others,” give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall man give into your bosom”(Luke 6:38).

1King 17:9-16, the widow of zarephat, in a period of austerity, was asked by the prophet, Elijah, for food; not minding it was all she had left, she still could not help but share the food with the prophet; and for this act of charity God blessed her and remembered her.” For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth” (1king 17:14). Charity opens wide the door of heavenly remembrance and the window of heavenly reward. The scripture also advices on how a perfect act of Charity can be carried out.

Take heed that ye do not your alms (charity) before men, to be seen of them, otherwise ye have no reward of your father which is heaven.

    Matthew 6:1

... And thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

    Matthew 6:6

    Let’s pray

Father in heaven, we thank and glorify you, for your love and mercy, we beg you to forgive us every of our mistakes, which the accuser of the children of God is trying to use against us.

We pray that you, will calm every  troubled situation in our lives, and that you will teach us how to be more better Christians. In Jesus name. Amen.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness, therefore God, thy father, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

    Psalm 45:7

The oil for constant motion is the LORD’S hand in your entire endeavour, “… If God be for us who can be against us” (Romans 8:31); First king Chapter 18 gave an illustration on how fast God’s anointing can push and pull you through your predicaments; to Israel, according to 1king 18, Drought was their predicament and it persisted for more than three years. No food and water in the land of Israel due to the sins of the Israelite; and at the due time, the LORD decided to bring back rain, through his Prophet, Elijah.

After much prayer by Elijah the prophet, it was finally obvious from the cloud change that it is going to rain, so prophet Elijah asked his servant, Ahab to go inform the king, that it is going to rain using the only available chariot; but before Ahab could reach the king, the hand of the lord came upon Elijah and he ran faster than Ahab’s chariot.

And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah, he girded up his loins, and he ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

    1king 18:45-46

When the hand of the LORD is upon your life, he makes all impossibilities surrounding your life to become possible, for to God,  there is no impossibility, "... With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27). Remember the story of blind Bartimeus, who was blind from birth, when the hand of the LORD was upon him he regained his sight, God’s anointing knows no weakness. Paul, writing to the people of Corinth ,was trying to illustrate to them that the LORD knows our every weakness, and in these weakness the LORD is glorified,”...my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness...”(2Corinthians 12:9)

Thou prepareth a table for you in the presence of mine enemies; thou annoitest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and i will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

    Psalm 23: 5-6

The oil for constant motion is that force that pushes you to excel in life, it is the propelling force that makes you stand out amongst your equal; it places you on top, this anointing comes with obedience and love.” But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour” (2Timothy 2:20)

And it shall come to pass; if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of thy LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandment which i command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth”

    Deuteronomy 28:1

In 1Samuel 16, the hand of the Lord was upon David, and this made him to be anointed king of Israel amidst his elder siblings “... I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, which shall fulfil my will.” Act 13: 22.

For God’s hand to be upon your every endeavour; you ought to be filled with GRACE; "And he (Angel Gabriel) came to her (Mary) and said, Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" Luke 1:28 (RSV-CE). For you to attain a certain level of Grace, the following should be put into consideration.

1)You  must have a good relationship with God, “therefore brethren be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”(1corinthians 15:58).

2)You must always be available for the Lord, this is a key factor to the release of GRACE, Prophet Samuel in 1Samuel 16, actually thought that bodily physique and wealth ranks before availability in God’s presence, in the matters of Grace, hence he wanted to anoint the eldest son of Jesse as King of Israel due to he was well built, " But the Lord said unto Samuel look not on his countenance, on the height of his stature; because I have refused him, for the Lord seeth not as man seeth, for men looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

Meanwhile, David who was the last son of Jesse, not only made himself available for the Lord by being dilligent in all his endeavors but was constantly fellowshipping with God. "And he sent and brought him (David) in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance and goodly to look to. And the Lord said (to Samuel) arise, anoint him; for this is he. (1Samuel 16:12)

It was the hand of the Lord upon David, a shepherd boy, that made him found grace which pushed him from” a nobody to a somebody -the King of Israel” (Genesis 16), Joseph who was sold into slavery also found grace which made him king in Egypt, Noah who was always available in God’s presence and has a good relationship with God, could use his God given idea, to make an Ark which conveyed him and his family from damnation.”But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” (Gen 6:8)

Grace therefore is the embodiment that provides you all the necessary requirement in life’s Journey. It is not acquired on merit, rather it is a gift from God, which covers a multitude of offences;” what then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound” (Romans 6: 1)

When the purpose of a thing is not known abuse becomes inevitable. Spiritual torment is usually the end result in an abused grace filled life (1Samuel 16:14). Grace can be abused in the following ways:

    Neglect of God’s presence

    Theft and others.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrew 4: 16). Grace itself can be nurtured. The scripture says,

... Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our LORD and saviour Jesus Christ.

    2Peter 3:18

The LORD expects of you to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of God: through constant meditation and study of his words.

The book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein for then thou shall make thy ways prosperous, and then thou shall have good success.

    Joshua 1: 8

My heart was hot within me; while I was meditating, the fire burned...

    Psalms 39: 3

With constant growth in grace, this which is achievable through faith and constancy in prayer, God will not only place you in a height far above your equals; his anointing in your life will forever be refreshed "The steadfastness of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never comes to an end; they are new every morning..."(Lamentation 3:22-23). In Daniel chapter 2, there was a decree to kill all the wise men in Babylon, by king Nebuchadnezzar, of which Daniel and his friends where sought to be killed due to inability of the king’s magicians and sorcerers to reveal and interprets the king's dream.

And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh. For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all wise men of Babylon. Daniel 2:12-13

Due to God’s anointing in the life of Daniel, Daniel could stand against the decree of the king, and terminated the plan to kill him, his companions and the wise men of Babylon; for he believed earnestly that with God all things are possible; the scripture says, Daniel sought God’s mercy so that the dream and its interpretation should be revealed to him; and God heard him. With God’s oil on your life you automatically becomes a child of God” I have found David... a man after my own heart, which shall fulfil all my will” Act 13: 14. After Daniel's prayer, God revealed the king’s dream and the interpretation to him.

And Daniel went to his house and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions.

That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning the secret...

Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

    Daniel 2: 17 -19

Just as grace is renewed through faith, mercy and constancy in prayer so also, God’s anointing in your life ought to be constantly renewed” And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land that I should not destroy it;  but I found none” Ezekiel 22:14.

Mathew 25: 1-2, tells the story of, Ten Virgins, who set out on a journey to meet the bridegroom with their lamps on and filled with oil. While waiting for the bridegroom who seems to delay his coming; some of the virgins ran out of oil for their lamps while the others were able to renew the oil in their lamps.”They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps” verse 3-4.

When it was time for the virgins to present themselves to the bridegroom, the scripture says that the foolish ones realized that they have ran out of oil, they sought for help through the wrong channel and none was made available to them "My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth” Psalm 121: 2

And at midnight there was a cry made, behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

... The foolish virgins said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, not so; lest there be not enough for us and you...

    Mathew 25:6-7

    Let’s pray

    Almighty God and father, we thank you for the grace which you have showered upon us, your sons and daughters. We ask of you LORD, to continuously renew these graces in our life. May we never be found wanting or short of your anointing, instead may these graces continue to propel us to maximizing our God’s given vision; and all glory will be ascribed to your holy name both now and forever more;

Failure in one part of life does not necessarily mean failure in all part of life; to every product there is a reason why it was manufactured, in the same manner, there is a reason why you are living in this world, not until the reason of our living is found we are yet to live a life of accomplishment. ‘’Jesus answered… to this end was I born, and for this cause came I unto this world…’’John 18:37.

Your present situation does not need to see you quit once you are very convinced that you are in the right part; saint Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:24-27, tells of his ordeal in the path he has chosen yet he never gave up, for quitters don’t win winners don’t quit, ‘’of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered ship wreck…’’(verse 24-25)

Above all bear in your heart that God cannot fail, and He alone knows the beginning from the end; ‘’… for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…’’ (Isaiah 46:9-10)

To this end, let your thought be holy; ‘’See that no one render evil for evil unto any man… Rejoice ever more. Pray without ceasing. Quench not the spirit... Hold fast that which is good, abstain from all appearances of evil...’’ 1Thessalonians 5:15-19

This book is dedicated to Our Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of our redeemer, Jesus Christ and also to my loving mother, Mrs Virginia E. Ike.
