Rose Njeri utilised the Ksh.1000 government money that was distributed to cushion Kenyans during the tough times of the Covid-19 pandemic to start her small egg-selling business.

Rose tells Tuko.co.ke that she started the business by supplying eggs within the outskirts of Likoni in April and currently owns two wholesale shops with a variety of stock worth Ksh. 100,000.

Rose: "When the government started sending me Ksh. 1000, I saved up to Ksh. 8000 and bought several trays of eggs. I could supply them across Likoni on foot...Am glad in six months I own a bicycle that I use to supply my products to clients and one employee who is on my payslip."
