Bishop Okorafor commends Gov. Uzodinma on reconstruction of Chukwuma Nwoha Road

Anglican Bishop of Egbu Diocese, Bishop Geofrey Enyinnaya Okorafor has sent words of encouragement and commendation to the governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for the initiative of reconstructing the abandoned Chukwuma Nwoha Road and for the channelization of the flood from the Trans Egbu axis into the Otamiri river, cutting across the Mbaise/Egbu dual carriage road at the Imo Newspaper intersection.

The prelate also commended the choir of St. Pauls’ Anglican church Agbala, in Owerri North Local Government Area for a wonderful performance during last Sunday’s Service at the church auditorium.

He urged government to encourage citizens of the state to embark on mechanized farming as a means of increasing production and earning revenue. This, he said can be achieved by government supporting farmers with soft loans.

The Bishop who was a former school teacher insisted that it is no longer fashionable to be dangling academic qualifications without the opportunity of employment, saying the only way forward for the teeming graduates is to embrace the abundant opportunities available in the agricultural sector.

Bishop Okorafor made this remark during the induction of new members into the Women Guild and Mothers’ Union, Girls Guild and confirmation of new members at St. Pauls’ Anglican Church Agbala.

One of the new women inductees was Chief Mrs. Patience Nkwoji (Obidiya) the wife of the Publisher of Nigeria Moment Newspaper, and Traditional Prime Minister of Egbelu Obube Autonomous Community, Okenze Dr. George Nkwoji
