He practiced what he preached, living an extremely successful life (his personal income ranged from $5 – $20 million per year for more than 50 years) while maintaining balance committed to Jesus Christ. Paul J Meyer went to be with the Lord in 2009 after living an extraordinary life that continues bless others to this day.

Born in San Mateo, CA on May 21, 1928 to a modest, hard working family, by age 25, Paul was the highest paid life insurance salesman in the US. At the tender age of 27, he became the youngest member of a special class of exceptional life insurance salespeople called, The Million Dollar Round Table. In 1958, he was hired as a sales executive for the fledgling Christian publishing company in Waco, TX, Word Records.

Two years later, at the age of 32, Paul J Meyer founded what would become the self improvement industry pioneer and leader, the Success Motivation Institute. Dedicated to “motivating people to their full potential,” over the course of 50 years, Success Motivation Institute grew into an international group of companies marketed in more than 60 countries and in 23 languages with total sales in excess of $3 Billion. And Paul J Meyer became recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities in the fields of goal setting, motivation, time management, personal development and self improvement.

Paul J Meyer firmly believed all people could develop the necessary characteristics to achieve and live a lifetime of success. He was especially passionate about goal setting and much of his training materials centered around showing people how to reach their goals and achieve their desired success. SMI-Paul J. Meyer is inspiration and motivation in life, out of the blue in 1979 when I had lost interest working for local government, I received a call from 1 of close associate of Mr Meyer. He talked me into visiting SMI headquarter in Waco, Texas, I remember only his first name was Roice. Make long story short, I helped hundreds of people using SMI concept here in Arizona and it changed my life too. Today I am happily married to my wife Jackeline with 5 children,. We also have our own independent business going on 20 years. Being exposed to power goal setting with plan of action will guarantee success. Thank you SMI, LMI and Paul Jones. Meyer.

Back in 1978/79 I heard a tape by Paul J. Meyer “the power of goal setting” (I think that’s what it was called) Is it possible to buy a download version of it?

I’m so gratefull with God for Paul’s life! Early in my life, in 1975 I met PJM/SMI in Bogotá and be touched for his 5 steps to be millionaire. I sold Exitodinamia for long time and grew INEXMO as Instituto de Exito y Motivación, the translation of SMI, helping Thousands of people to achieve high goals an reach excelence. When I came to USA I start new business with Royal Prestige in NY with the purpose to help other to reach their full potential. It is impossible to forget Paul’s teachings. He became part of my family, in spite he never knew about us. May God give him the crown of victory for the inmense good given to humanity. I wish to leave a legacy in the magnitude Paul did. Thank you for the opportunity to express this recognition to my hero.

I am a product of SMI. In 1975 I had lunch with Paul Meyer at his Country Club in Waco. He took me to lunch just having won a sales contest for SMI. His programs proved to make me a success in my goals which I had persued all my life. In 1975 I founded Roy Delgado & Associates in Falls Church, Virginia, a Sign/Graphics firm . . . The company grew to 32 employees and became a full-fledged electric sign company . . . 26 years later the company was sold to a Pakistani Holding Company. I now am well entrenched in one of my others loves. . . a cartoonist

and author. See plumlococomic.blogspot.com. Being involved with Paul Meyer and his company will always be one of the highlights in my life.

I had become inspired when I visited SMI in Waco Texas back in the 1983.

I have the same vision with the Late Paul J Meyer. I have the same vision with Mr Meyer: My dedication to motivate the world to achieve Success in Life.

Thank You! May God continue to bless SMI and all who are connected with Paul J Meyer’s teachings.

I really appreciate Paul’s teaching in his book “Forgiveness” it is a very important subject, and one I have benefited from. I realize God has paid a great price for my salvation by sending His Son Jesus to die for my sins and to reconcile me to God the Father. This is forgiveness in action, and God expects from me to forgive others as I have been forgiven. Since I am in need to be forgiven, I must in turn forgive those who have wronged me. This starts by learning to forgive oneself, and develops into an opportunity to forgive others.

It is a choice and is does not happen overnight. it is a process, and I have to make a conscious effort to forgive, and forgive and forgive again and again. The older I get the more opportunities there are for me to put forgiveness into action.

I was an early “sponge” of Paul Meyer Teachings. My pal during the early 1970’s was Zig Ziglar and I assisted in staging the “Richer Life Course” with Zig in Carrolton, Texas in 1977. What fabulous mentors these great Christian men have been in my life and in the life of millions of others. Years ago, Ron Moorash handed me one of Mr. Meyer’s pamphlets simply entitled MOTIVATION. My question and challenge today is to find a source to purchase additional copies of this fine pamphlet. Is it still in print? Would you please help me locate a source for purchase?

Thank you for making this world a much better and more exciting place to be better stewards of the resources God has entrusted us with. Your response(s) are sincerely welcomed and appreciated. Have a great forever!

I would love for you Sir to give me call regarding a youth center we are building for our community for youth who are turning to drugs, violence, crime and gangs here in Union City,Ga we need help! Our children are dying around us daily on the inside and out. Organizations always think its about money, but it’s much more than that. It is by every joint supplies… There is no outlet here unless they have money to catch a bus and two trains to get to, and on the way there are the obstacles and choices they make with an end result of failure… We are pleading out for help

    Sincerely out of love,

    Portia Summers Thurston
